μRheo-NMR

This instrument is a small-sized Rheo-NMR instrument for use with a standard bore magnet manufactured by Bruker. Without modifying the NMR system, NMR measurements can be performed as a 3 mmφ borosilicate stationary rod is set at the center of a 5 mmφ sample tube, while shear stress is applied to a sample by spinning the sample tube just as a normal measurement.

Measurement can be performed with a less amount of sample solution because the size of the sample section is smaller than the conventional Rheo-NMR. It is also possible to perform highly sensitive measurements by using a cryogenic probe in combination with this product.

The stationary rod is made of borosilicate. As it is made of glass, which is less likely to adsorb protein, this instrument is suitable for protein studies. We can manufacture a custom-made stationary rod made of different materials such as crystal glass, resin, or non-magnetic metal. Moreover, it is possible to provide a hollow stationary glass rod with solution such as heavy water sealed inside it.

The rod section of the main unit has a flexible structure and it is easily bent. So, the instrument can be installed without paying attention to the ceiling height.
